Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains the limited role of MailForge as a software interface for client-managed email marketing. The client using the platform remains responsible for the data they upload, the campaigns they send, and the privacy laws that apply to their recipients.

Privacy Policy

Platform Role

Interface Provider

MailForge provides workspace screens, campaign tools, contact management, reporting views, and configuration workflows. It does not decide the recipient list, campaign purpose, sender identity, or legal basis for sending.

Client-Controlled Data

The client controls account, subscriber, audience, suppression, sender, template, campaign, and automation data entered into the platform. The client is responsible for ensuring that this data was collected and used lawfully.

Customer-Owned Sending

Emails are sent through client-owned or client-authorized SMTP and email provider accounts. The client remains responsible for provider terms, recipient notices, retention rules, and any email tracking they enable.

No Legal Reliance

Platform settings, safeguards, labels, and reports are operational tools only. They are not legal advice and do not transfer the client’s privacy obligations to MailForge or Sahsee Technology LLP.

Privacy Policy

Customer Responsibilities

Lawful Basis and Consent

The client must maintain valid consent, legitimate-interest analysis, notices, unsubscribe records, and any other lawful basis required for each audience and campaign.

Subscriber Requests

If a recipient asks to access, correct, delete, suppress, or stop use of their data, the client is responsible for receiving, validating, and responding to that request as the sender or controller.

Accuracy and Retention

The client must keep subscriber, sender, company, billing, and contact information accurate and must decide how long campaign and audience data should remain in the workspace.

Compliance Records

The client should keep evidence of permission, suppression, import source, campaign approval, and provider authorization outside and inside the platform as needed.

Privacy Policy

Liability Position

Client Assumes Risk

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the client assumes responsibility for privacy claims, recipient complaints, regulatory inquiries, list sourcing, campaign content, and use of connected providers.

Platform Limitation

MailForge and Sahsee Technology LLP are not responsible for the client’s choice of recipients, message content, sending frequency, consent status, or failure to honor data rights.

Operational Assistance

MailForge may provide exports, suppression tools, audit logs, and technical assistance where available, but this support does not make MailForge the sender or controller of the client’s campaigns.

Client Legal Review

Clients should obtain their own legal review for privacy notices, data processing terms, retention periods, international transfers, and jurisdiction-specific recipient rights.
